Manuscript Editing

So, You’ve finished Your fiction or nonfiction Book.

Get another set of eyes before you send it out.

Commonly, I am hired for a single (1) draft/ read-through. I take my time with each; since, invariably, there are many layers to a first read. Furthermore, I am generous with feedback.

A fuller service involves three (3) read-throughs.

  1. (Both) An initial developmental edit. After this, you will receive a detailed editorial memo, which you can then use for your next draft. (Usually, these editorial letters range from between 10-20 pages.)

  2. A second developmental edit; further refining after your second draft. After this, you will receive another editorial memo. (Often, the second memo is shorter than the first.)

  3. A final copy-edit/ proofread; I deliver the final product back to you ready for publication.
