I was once told to take the last paragraph of my first draft and make it the first paragraph of my second. I still believe that’s a firm principle to base a writing practice around.

As a partner, I strive for honesty and clarity. My first job is to understand the client’s vision and needs, not to present my own. I value direct communication, intensive understanding, and finished drafts.

Over the years, I have been fortunate to collaborate on some wonderful projects, but I believe it is still too early to weigh in on the success of the work. All of my books exist in time and their usefulness is directly related to how well they continue to touch the lives of those who read them.

Finally, I am proud of my American home and heritage; I do not believe in limitations on cultural understanding.

Beyond ghostwriting, I also work in biography, all manner of editing, and a variety of other written expression.
